PSG is a top independent financial services group, who provide services such as financial planning, investments, unit trusts, stockbroking, life insurance, healthcare, estate and trust services, personal and commercial short term insurance. The company has been operating since 1998.
 

ABOUT THE BURSARY

The PSG Honours Bursary is for students who have completed their Degree qualification and are wanting to further their career in the financial services industry.

The bursary offers students the following benefits:

  • financial assistance towards study fees (tuition fees, textbooks)
  • mentoring, coaching and hands-on training
  • entrance into the graduate programme
  • working experience within the financial services industry

 

ELIGIBILITY

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying:

  • South African citizen
  • Completed Matric
  • Completed a Degree in one of the following areas:
    • Engineering: Electrical Engineering/ Electronic Engineering/ Chemical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Industrial Engineering/ Computer Engineering
    • IT: Computer Science/ Information Systems/ Information Technology/ Informatics/ Software Development/ Data Analytics/ Artificial Intelligence/ Project Management
    • Science: Actuarial Science/ Applied Chemistry/ Physics
    • Mathematics or Statistics: Statistics/ Mathematical Sciences/ Applied Mathematics
  • Achieved a minimum average of 65% for studies
  • Able to work well in a team
  • Pay close attention to detail
  • Able to keep calm and work well under pressure
  • Energetic
  • Resilient
  • Solution oriented
  • Ambitious
  • Self-motivated
