Bitou Municipality Mayoral Bursary South Africa 2018 – 2019

 

ABOUT THE BURSARY PROVIDER

Bitou Local Municipality is situated in the Western Cape Province and is part of the Eden District Municipality.

Previously known as Plettenberg Bay Municipality, it is the easternmost municipality on the Western Cape’s coast, and covers 992 km² of land between the Tsitsikamma Mountains and the Indian Ocean.
 

ABOUT THE BURSARY

The Bitou Municipality are awarding bursaries for any field of study, so long as students studying at a recognized tertiary institution.

Shortlisted candidates may be contacted ad required to attend an interview.

On completion of the their studies, students are NOT obligated to work at the Municipality to repay the bursary.
 

ELIGIBILITY

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying:

  • South African citizen
  • Reside within/ parents owns rateable property within the Bitou Municipality
  • Completed Matric
  • Studying or plan to study at a recognized tertiary institution in South Africa

 

HOW TO APPLY

Download and complete the Bitou Municipality Bursary Application Form (pdf).

Please include the following items in your application pack:

  • ID document (certified copy)
  • Matric certificate (certified copy)
  • Acceptance letter from your tertiary institution
  • Tertiary institution’s banking details on an original bank letterhead
  • Parents/ guardians proof of household income (payslip if employed/ sworn affidavit if unemployed)
  • Declaration by the student if in recipient of any other bursary funding
