ABOUT THE COMPANY – FORD

The Ford Motor Company (Ford) was founded in the year 1903 by Henry Ford. The American multinational automaker sells commercial vehicles and automobiles under their “Ford” brand and luxury cars under their “Lincoln” brand

The Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa (FMCSA) is one of the leading automotive companies in Southern Africa, operating in the automotive sector since 1923.
FMCSA currently employs over 3700 staff members and has 127 dealers in South Africa.
 

ABOUT THE BURSARY PROGRAMME – FIELDS COVERED & OTHER OPPORTUNITIES

The FMCSA, in support of the National Government’s drive of skill development, are offering funding to final year students to complete their tertiary education.

Bursaries will be awarded within the following fields of study (for final year students only):

  • Finance
  • Industrial Engineering
  • Information Technology
  • Marketing
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Purchasing

Upon graduation, bursary students may be eligible to partake in the Graduate Trainee Program to enable them to gain invaluable practical experience in their career field.
 

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):

  • South African citizen
  • Completed Matric
  • Studying in one of the aforementioned fields of study (final year students only),
  • Studying at a recognised tertiary institution in South Africa
  • Achieved strong academic results
